Passionate about exploring art through abstraction and representational images, the foundation of my work comes from the abstraction of organic form, color, line, and texture. Each layer recording a time, an experience, or emotion that I work to manifests in my paintings. I create utilizing a variety of alternative surfaces such as reclaimed or up-cycled wood or furniture. As well as naturally occurring earth elements, flowers and foliage as pigment or dye. My process allows for these materials become part of my designs and contribute naturally and delightfully to the composition.  I recreate with excitement, joy, and curiosity at the sometimes fleeting moments in nature. My creative process is completely exploratory. Influenced solely by my natural surroundings in my beautiful home state of Virginia. And the very fortunate moments I’ve been able to travel this world.
